SCOPE: SCIENCE OF POLITICS – International Interdisciplinary Conference of Political Research is an annual joint session of workshops aimed at offering a space for academic exchanges on timely political research topics, as well as on the latest advancements within the discipline and the profession(s) of political science.

SCOPE 2021

The 7th edition will take place in a special online format between the 20th and the 24th of September 2021. Under the coordination of the Centre for International Cooperation and Development Studies (IDC) of the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Bucharest (FSPUB), with the support of the International Political Science Association (IPSA) research committee RC33 (The Study of Political Science as a Discipline), it invites political scientists, as well as scholars from other related disciplinary traditions to reflect upon what it means to be VULNERABLE IN CONTEMPORARY POLITCS (read the full Call for Applications).
Initiated in 2014 by the members of the Faculty of Political Science at the University of Bucharest (FSPUB) to mark at that time the anniversary of 150 years since the establishment of this university, SCOPE is organized primarily through the FSPUB research centres and their partners.

At each edition the event gathers around 100-150 participants from Europe, US, Asia and Africa and it offers keynotes by top scholars in political science, political sociology and international relations from Europe and US.

The working languages of the event are English and French, with English as primary language.

The best papers are considered for publication within special journal issues or collective volumes with partner publishers.

The international peer-review open acess journal Annals of the University of Bucharest. Political Science series currently accepts manuscripts for the special issue 2/2021 (DL 15 October 2021 for SCOPE 2021 participants).
